ISKCON Grameena Ashram is a model Vedic village, aims to be self-sustainable, which is spread over 10.5 acres of agricultural land with Temple and goshala at Tatiparthi village, located 25 kms from ISKCON Nellore.The deities of Sri GauraNitai were installed, daily temple programs and Gita prachar were started in June 2016 as an offering for the pleasure of SrilaPrabhupada 50th year of ISKCON’s incorporation.

            The project is envisioned to help arresting the destructive modern civilization, with its thrust on maximizing worldly pleasure. This has simply intensified the struggle for existence, leaving very little time, energy and inclination for people to pursue self-realization, which is the goal of human life. This rural project is an attempt to build community in harmony with nature on the principles of Srila Prabhupada’s “Simple Living And High Thinking”. This means that the ultimate goal of all activities here will be to please the Supreme Personality of Godhead Srikrishna and to develop love for him. Lord Krishna practically demonstrated the importance of protection and utilization of the cow as well as her progeny on this earth.

            Following this aspect of the Lord’s teachings, Ashram will be based on cow protection and agriculture. The economic needs of the community will be met by taking to as an ideal ISKCON Founder Acharya His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada’s simple yet profound articulation of the principle of self sufficiency.

            The ashram has residential rooms with attached bathrooms. It has a temple hall adjacent to a large kitchen, a basement and an outside patio, thus providing essential and variegated places of association for both residents and visiting devotees. The Ashram is an ideal place for devotees in their active retirement years. We are confident that the sight of this  beautiful ashram will warm the hearts of devotees by showing them an example of what can be done by the grace of Krishna and vaishnavas.
